Standards and accreditation for community housing

The aim of national community housing standards and accreditation is to provide a framework for continuous quality improvement in community housing service delivery, which is independently evaluated to provide assurance to consumers, the wider community and government.

The accreditation system was established following extensive consultation and pilot projects involving key stakeholders in the community housing sector. Queensland's system of accreditation is linked to a national accreditation framework and a set of National Community Housing Standards.

Standards and accreditation in Queensland

The Queensland Community Housing Standards and Accreditation Council and the Queensland Community Housing Standards and Accreditation Unit are the two bodies primarily responsible for overseeing and implementing the accreditation system in Queensland.
