Queensland Community Housing Standards and Accreditation Unit
The Queensland Community Housing Standards and Accreditation Unit was established to facilitate and coordinate the community housing accreditation system in Queensland. The Unit is located in the Community and Public Housing service area of the Queensland Department of Housing.
Our purpose
The role of the Queensland Community Housing Standards and Accreditation Unit includes:
- providing information about the national standards, quality improvement planning and the accreditation system to community housing organisations
- providing training, support, supervision and assessment of Peer Evaluators
- offering feedback to community housing providers during the self-evaluation phase of the accreditation process
- coordinating and undertaking accreditation evaluations, and
- providing secretariat services to the Queensland Community Housing Standards and Accreditation Council.
Staffing
The current Queensland Community Housing Standards and Accreditation Unit consists of:
- Senior Accreditation Officer
- Accreditation Officers (2), and
- Administration Officer.
