The accreditation decision
The Accreditation Assessment Panel is the body that determines the accreditation status to be granted to an organisation that has undergone an accreditation evaluation (i.e. self-evaluation and external evaluation). Based on the contents of the draft Accreditation Evaluation Report, the panel will consider the percentage of standards met and the overall scores that have been recommended by the evaluation team. The panel will also consider any correspondence from the community housing provider in response to the draft Accreditation Evaluation Report, and any other information made available to it, in order to determine an organisation's accreditation status.
The Accreditation Assessment Panel will consist of three members from the Queensland Community Housing Standards and Accreditation Council. One of these members will be independent of both Government and community housing providers.
Accreditation status
The following outlines the accreditation status that can be awarded to community housing providers that undertake the accreditation process.
Full three-year accreditation
Awarded where an organisation has met or surpassed at least 75% of all applicable standards and no section has the majority of applicable standards not met.
One-year accreditation
Where an organisation has met or surpassed at least 65% of all applicable standards and not more than one section has the majority of applicable standards not met. A further 10% of applicable standards can be met in one year and no sections will have the majority of standards not met within one year.
Not accredited
Where an organisation has not met or surpassed at least 65% of all applicable standards or more than one section has the majority of applicable standards not met.
Where an organisation achieves accreditation, it will receive a certificate showing the start and end date of the period of accreditation.
